The Wollemi Pine, discovered in a remote canyon in Australia in 1994, had been thought to be extinct for nearly 200 million years. Yet there it stood—growing quietly, hidden from the world and preserved in a remote place.
Some of the most powerful Kingdom movements on earth today may also be growing quietly and invisibly in remote places. They may not receive recognition or widespread attention, but Heaven has not forgotten them.
God is at work in places the world may overlook. His Kingdom is growing, often beyond what human eyes can see.
Scripture: “It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his garden. It grew and became a tree, and the birds perched in its branches.” — Matthew 13:31–32
“Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.’” — Matthew 9:37–38 (NIV)
The harvest is real, urgent, and vast. Across the world, countless people still have little or no access to the Gospel. Entire communities remain unreached, while many others have never had a meaningful opportunity to hear and respond to the message of Christ.
God is calling His Church not only to pray for the harvest but also to become labourers in the harvest field.
The question is not simply, “Who will go?” It is also, “Will we pray until God's answer becomes undeniable?”
1. Pray for a new generation of cross-cultural missionaries.
Ask the Lord of the harvest to raise up missionaries from Africa—Nigerians, Kenyans, Ghanaians, South Africans, and others—who will carry the Gospel across cultures and into places where Christ is not yet known, with the boldness and empowerment of the Holy Spirit.
Scripture: “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!’” — Isaiah 6:8
2. Pray for the stirring of missionary calling among young professionals.
Pray especially for professionals in medicine, education, business, technology, and other fields, that they will recognise their skills and professions as opportunities to serve God's Kingdom and become ambassadors for Christ among unreached peoples.
Scripture: “And because he was of the same trade, he stayed with them and worked, for they were tentmakers by trade.” — Acts 18:3
3. Pray for increased resources for global missions.
Ask God to multiply the financial and material resources available for missions. Pray that local churches, Christian business people, and Kingdom-minded individuals will embrace missions giving as a strategic investment in the advancement of the Gospel.
Scripture: “Not that I desire your gifts; what I desire is that more be credited to your account.” — Philippians 4:17
4. Pray for missionaries and evangelists facing discouragement.
Intercede for missionaries and evangelists around the world who are experiencing exhaustion, discouragement, loneliness, opposition, or disillusionment. Pray that the joy of the Lord will be renewed in them and that God will restore their strength for the work ahead.
Scripture: “The joy of the Lord is your strength.” — Nehemiah 8:10
The Lord says: “I have seen your readiness. I am releasing you into nations, not through small openings, but through wide gates. Step forward; I go before you.”
We declare that the Lord of the harvest is raising and sending labourers into His harvest fields. Doors are opening, resources are being released, and hearts are being prepared for the Gospel.
The Church will arise, the nations will hear, and the harvest will be gathered for the glory of God.
